Thank you for reading the story, The More I Look for My Mom, the More I Find Her in My Heart
Its one-line takeaway is, There are lots of ways to say I love you.
Now grab your notebook or journal and if this line evokes something in you, write down what you are thinking.
If not, here are three prompts to write about instead:
- This story is a love letter to my mom. Is there someone in your life from whom you would like to receive a love letter? Write it to yourself now.
- Write about the last time you allowed someone’s comment to “roll off your back.” Did it serve you well to act in this manner? Would you do things differently now?
- My bubbie didn’t always appreciate my mom. Who doesn’t appreciate you and what would you like to say to them?
As always, write about one of these prompts or all of them. There is no right or wrong, just what feels best to you.
