Thank you for reading the story, “Long Story Listener.”
Its takeaway is: A good friend is like a four-leaf clover: Hard to find and lucky to have.
Now grab your notebook or journal and if this line evokes something in you, write down what you are thinking.
If not, here are three prompts – borrowed from the story – to write about instead:
- Write a letter to your good friend. Reminisce about the past or spin dreams for togetherness in the future, or thank him/her for being wonderful always.
- Sometimes there is no one to tell our long stories to and so we share a snippet here or there when we want to share an entire saga. I am sure something has happened to you recently for which this is true. Write the saga now.
- Write about a friend who has moved away. What has that experience been like for you? How have you stayed in touch? Write about that here – OR write to that friend right now!
As always, write about one of these prompts or all of them. There is no right or wrong, just what feels best to you.
